Audio of May 26, 2011 is as follows:
Last night was surprisingly quiet. I fell asleep shortly after my head hit the pillow. At around 3 AM, this sound (the only noticeable sound in the entire night) was caught on my microphone.
The update is as follows:
I was finally let out of questioning. I was a prime suspect, being discovered by the body. I assure you, I did not do it. I was blogging here when it happened. I left and saw some sort of hoodlum dashing away on all fours, so I suspect the killer to be a parkour practitioner.
Yes, my landlord is dead. So much for the bet. He was absolutely torn to shreds. The ruckus I heard before checking sounded uncannily similar to the sounds on the night of the murder, so I deduce that the 'parkour practitioner' was the murderer of my neighbor. In fact, I deduce that this was the serial killer we've been looking for. The problem now would be catching the man.
I am going to try my hardest to tape the sounds of the next few nights in an attempt to catch the murderer. At the very least, if I record the sounds, the police will have evidence.

Trial news is as follows:
The first day of the trial was long and arduous. I just got home.
The defence was actually able to provide a solid alibi for the defendant, and the prosecution's evidence didn't hold out. I'm starting to think maybe we got the wrong guy.
Sleep tonight will be impossible, as there seems to be a loud ruckus going on down the hall. I'm going to go find out what this is.

Another apology is as follows:
I woke up at the hospital this morning. I don't remember what happened for the last weekend.
According to the doctor, I was discovered covered in lashes and bruises. Once again, I have no memory of the entire weekend.
I hear the family next door moved out. I don't particularly care; I'm in too much pain to. I feel like someone went over my body with a rake while I was asleep.
The trial for the serial murders is tomorrow. I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it to this.

Last night's testimonial is as follows:
My microphone's broken. I'll get a new one soon, but in the meantime, here's my testimonial.
I heard a lot of dripping. That'd be the tap; my landlord can fix that. The family next door is very loud. Then again, I don't blame them; they have a young kid. More scratching. Rats.
There was an odd noise, sounded like a plomp. I woke up in the morning to find droplets of blood on my carpet, leading between my bed and the front door. I have a couple of theories; I might have sleepwalked, or I simply hadn't noticed this before. I will keep an eye out for occurrences like this in the future.

An update is as follows:
We've got him. It's taken us weeks and quite a bit of taxpayer's money, but we've nailed the murderer. I'm not at liberty to speak much of him, but he's sort of a pale guy, a druggie. Exactly the type you'd expect.
The trial will be held next Tuesday. In the meantime, I'm going to go back to recording night-sounds. I still have a bet to settle.

Last night's testimonial is as follows:
Work was quiet yesterday, but the night certainly wasn't. My new neighbors are a family of three. Small child, too. Toddler. Kid kept me up all night.
I heard the child yelling all night long, the parents running to and fro. Then I heard the rats scratching on the walls, yet again. The water tap wouldn't stop dripping either. Sleep? Who needs sleep?

A quick testimonial is as follows:
I have not noticed any noises in the past few nights. That is, beyond the police moving things around from time to time.
An update is as follows:
The workload has just been piling on lately. And that's not all.
My neighbor's room isn't a crime scene anymore; my landlord actually put it back up for rent yesterday. My landlord is that kind of person. And amazingly, someone was desperate enough to get it. They're moving in as I'm typing this entry. I hope they're not the noisy type.
I suppose I'll try to post more. I mean, if people are actually reading this...

Another apology and explanation are as follows:
I apologize for the long gap between posts this time.
The murder of my neighbor has sent this case into a frenzy. I've been having busy days, busy nights. All kinds of new witnesses who claimed to have known my neighbor are being called up, the murderer is still at large, hell, even the judge is starting to get exhausted. Still no luck, though.
In fact, this new crime has completely knocked this case out of the park. As far as we knew, the murderer's m. o. was to slaughter little girls. My neighbor, contrary to popular belief, was not a little girl.
..my point is, posts are going to be scarce for a bit.

An update is as follows:
My neighbor was found dead today. He was completely torn to shreds.
The scary thing is, you remember this post from a few days ago? The murders mentioned? This one matches the m. o. of the murderer; the victims in the case were all torn to shreds. Though those victims were all little girls, so why a large man was killed...
I didn't exactly want to mention this in the aforementioned post, but the murderer is still at large. I have reason to believe he is the culprit behind this murder.

A small update is as follows:
I went and asked my neighbor if he could try turning his TV volume down tonight. I got beaten up. Like I said, the guy's the size of a trucker; I didn't want to bother him, but I had to.
So far, I think the noises I've been recording are rats and my neighbor. I guess we'll see if anything different happens tonight. I'll look for rats tomorrow. If I find any, I'm going to the landlord.

Audio of May 8th is as follows:
Audio takes place shortly after I fell asleep. Note how the noises become noticeable once my neighbor switches off his television.
Sunday, May 8, 2011
A promise is as follows:
I haven't had the chance to go over the audio from the past few days. I'm going to tonight.
An apology is as follows:
I'm sorry for not updating in a while. Work's been busy.
There's been a big case in court about a string of murders, brutal murders. Without going into much detail, the culprit turned out to.. not be the defendant. All the victims so far have been little girls.

Last night's testimonial is as follows:
Last night, I heard more scratching. That would be the rats.
My neighbor's TV was turned up really loud all night long. My neighbor's a really big guy; I'm fairly certain he's a trucker. I don't want to bother him with a complaint, but maybe I will eventually.
Listening back to the audio from the microphone, I could hear nothing but those, plus the occasional pipe noise in the walls or a car outside honking its horn. I live in the city, you see. This kind of thing happens all the time.
There was nothing interesting in the audio, so I won't upload anything.

An update is as follows:
I went out and bought a microphone. I'm going to set it up so it records all night.
Last night's testimonial is as follows:
Last night, I heard scratching on my walls. I'm thinking it's rats or something, in which case the landlord will have to do something.
On my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I could hear my neighbor whispering to himself. I'm thinking that means the walls are pretty thin. Landlord can't help with that, I don't think.
As I was trying to sleep, I heard more scratching, then the sink faucet started dripping.

The context is as follows:
For the past two weeks, I have been hearing noises in the night as I attempt to sleep. I've spoken with my landlord about it, and he said it's not his problem unless I can prove it is. I decided to take him up on that offer.
This blog is so, if he tries to weasel his way out of the deal, I have proof. At the very least, I can show the world what's making noises.
